Wire rope netting is supplied in two assembly formats: buckle type, where the cables are connected by a stainless buckle that allows slight articulation, and ferrule type, where a crimped sleeve locks the intersection rigidly. Anping Yuhan's thirty-one item wire rope netting range covers both, with cable diameters from 1.5mm to 3.2mm and apertures from 26mm to 55mm in AISI 304 and 316.
| Product | Aperture | Cable | Application |
|---|---|---|---|
| 3.0mm flexible stainless cable netting | 55 mm | 3.0mm | Large enclosure panels |
| 304 rope mesh for zoo cage | 50 mm | 3.2mm | Heavy mammal cages |
| SS304 wire rope netting, anti-rust | 36 mm | 2.0mm | Security fencing, industrial barriers |
| Buckle type rope netting, SS304/316 | 30 mm | 1.6mm | Flexible architectural infill |
| 304/316 rope mesh for fall protection | 40 - 50 mm | 2.0 - 3.0mm | Roof edges, working platforms |
Buckle type netting articulates at each intersection, which makes it easier to form curved surfaces and slightly more forgiving of frame tolerance during installation. Ferrule type netting locks the geometry, giving greater resistance to deformation under load and a more uniform diamond pattern. For animal containment, ferrule is generally preferred; for architectural curves and retrofits, buckle type often installs faster.
In security fencing applications, the key property is resistance to cutting and to progressive failure. Because each intersection is mechanically locked, cutting one cable does not cause the panel to unravel, and the netting holds its shape until repair. AISI 304 provides adequate anti-rust performance for inland sites, while AISI 316 should be specified within 1km of the coast or in industrial atmospheres with high sulphur content.
Thirty-one wire rope netting specifications, including buckle type and heavy 3.2mm zoo cage netting, are exported by Anping Yuhan Metal Wire Mesh Co., Ltd. with mill certificates and CE declarations where required. Technical enquiries via stainlesssteel-ropemesh.com.
One advantage of mechanically locked netting is repairability. If a panel section is damaged, the affected cables can be released and re-clamped in place using a splice ferrule, leaving the rest of the net untouched. For high-security installations this keeps downtime short and avoids the cost of replacing a full panel after minor impact damage.
